Witness 8 out next week!

Hi folks,

With a little over a week to go until the publication of Witness 8 I wanted to take some time to thank the Irish Times and all the early readers of the book for their wonderful reviews so far. Many people are saying it’s their favourite Eddie Flynn book to date, and that’s always lovely to hear.

Events start this Saturday 27th of July in No Alibis Bookstore in Belfast. I will be meeting readers and signing books, and it’s free to attend. Just get your ticket via the link below.

And on Monday 29th July I’ll be in Glasgow with my good friend Craig Robertson. All the dates are in the link below where you can get tickets all my events in Waterstones for the following two weeks, where I’ll be meeting booksellers and fellow authors including Alex North, Jo Callaghan (who has just won the Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the year), Imran Mahmood and CK McDonnell.

I’ve noticed a lot of reader feedback about a character in Witness 8 called Mr. Christmas, who I can’t say a lot about, but it is lovely to see readers responding so well to him. I don’t want to say anymore, but I’m really glad he has hit home for a lot of readers.

I am writing the next Eddie Flynn book at the moment, and having a lot of fun with this one.

In case you can’t make it to any of the events, please don’t worry, you can still get a signed copy of the book from No Alibis (if you email the store with your request I can do a personal dedication) Waterstones or Goldsboro Books in London.

I do have events planned later in the year and I’ll talk more about those in later newsletters.

For any podcast fans out there I had a great time chatting to Northern Ireland comedian and screenwriter, Ciaran Bartlett, on his podcast No Blasters. In this episode I talk a little more about Belfast than I do in other events you may have seen, and it was a really good laugh. Ciaran is a great writer and comedian and you can see him in his upcoming live shows at the Grand Opera House in Belfast.
